An integral part of our offering to coached riders, metabolic profiling is critical in understanding individual physiology, ensuring applied training focus is correct. A process adopted by most world tour teams, it is applicable to all riders who want to ensure they get the best out of themselves in the most efficient way. It will benefit any training programme and improve rider performance by applying a scientific foundation to planning and delivery. A full metabolic profile will:

Whilst we strongly recommend undertaking full metabolic testing if you are going to undertake any form of lab testing, both blood lactate testing and VO2 Max testing can be offered as stand alone tests.

Should lab testing not be required, or wanted, then utilising WKO software allows a unique physiological model for the rider to be developed. This allows a thorough understanding of the riders physiology, thereby allowing development of a training programme matched to this model. In depth data analysis ensures constant refinement of the model and the associated training programme, hence optimising training adaptation.

This can be utilised as part of an ongoing programme or as a periodic snapshot in order to understand effectiveness of any given training programme.
